Additionally we carry a full complement of associated small plant including compactors, pumps, generators, portable traffic lights, polyethelene pipe butt

welding and electrofusion equipment, pipe lasers and testing equipment.

STAFF

Staffing levels continue to expand with currently some thirty site workers consisting of qualified drainage workers, machine operators, labourers and truck drivers. A highly qualified and experienced management and administration team supports our construction crews. Our contract managers have the knowledge and expertise to effectively manage the most technically demanding projects.

Staff training is essential to the success of every business. In addition to ‘on the job training’, staff are supported through formal training including National Certificates in Drainlaying, Water Service and Road Opening, Traffic Management and Polyethylene Pipe Welding.

Ching Contracting Ltd maintains a programme of Health and Safety training. All staff hold current first aid certificates. The health of all employees is monitored annually to detect any decline in vision, hearing and lung function that may be resulting from their workplace activities. An immunisation programme is in place to protect staff against common infectious diseases and to allow us to work on public water supply systems and in high-risk environments.
