Sewage Treatment Operations.

Ching Contracting Ltd has become highly experienced and a local market leader in the construction and maintenance of sewage treatment installations.

We have now constructed numerous sewage treatment systems throughout the south island inlcuding Nelson, Tasman, Canterbury, Mt Cook, Hurunui, Marlborough and Queenstown ranging from simple containment tanks to fully automated secondary and tertiary treatment systems.

The experience and knowledge we have gained has more recently seen us undertake a number of design and build contracts for our clients, taking their brief and then producing plans, obtaining resource and building consents, completing construction and gaining final sign off from the relevant local authority. In most cases this has provided with our clients with a significantly reduced timeframe from concept to completion and reduced the total cost for the project.

- DOC Nelson Lakes - John Tait Hut Containment Toilet Replacement (Design & Build).
- DOC Nelson Lakes - Lakehead Hut and Coldwater Hut Containment Toilet Upgrade.
- DOC Nelson Lakes - Bushline Hut Containment Toilet Upgrade.
- DOC Nelson Lakes - Lake Angelus Containment Toilet and Greywater Upgrade.

Additionally, Ching Contracting have completed new installations and upgrades to numerous hut sites throughout the Abel Tasman National Park, Heaphy Track and St James Track for the Department of Conservation.

Through undertaking these contracts we have developed a number of innovative solutions for installations in remote locations that have improved treatment processes (and final effluent quality), improved reliability, provided more efficient onsite construction and subsequently provided our clients with improved quality, reduced maintenance and increased value for money.

We are also able to provide ongoing maintenance and servicing of these facilities to ensure they continue to function at optimum levels.

Sewage Removal From Remote Locations.

Ching Contracting Ltd have designed and manufactured purpose built, lightweight tanks for use in removal of sewage from remote locations via helicopter. The lightweight alloy construction of the tanks ensures a maximum payload of sewage can be carried on each flight trip thus minimising expensive helicopter time.
